The 1st of August had an exciting start. First, it was already raining in the morning, even though the weather forecast claimed that there would be absolutely no rain the whole day. Second, we could sleep in, which had not been possible during the whole week due to many different reasons, including a road being rebuilt right next to our apartment, and the unfortunate passing of two mosquitoes who were eager to start a family at 2 and 5 am.
Third, and most importantly, Raphael found the announcement: the Shipaton had started!
“Woohoo!” I replied with all the enthusiasm I could muster after finally getting a good night’s sleep. “Finally! What is a Shipaton?”
Well, it turned out to be “The world’s biggest mobile hackathon for people who actually ship.”
(As a matter of fact, I do a lot of shipping. Unfortunately, not the kind the creators of the event had in mind, but more of the fanfiction kind. But this might be a bit off-topic.)
We quickly figured out that we must participate.
Do we have the time for this? Of course not! But we can always grab a hammer and Claude to make up for the lack of time, and build something nice.

Next up is brainstorming ideas and deciding on the project that will win the Shipaton.
One project that we will ship in less than 2 months.
